Spent catalysts

A catalyst is a medium that can initiate a chemical reaction without itself being consumed. Platinum catalysts, for example, make an important contribution to environmental protection by neutralizing harmful substances. Catalysts are also essential for the production of certain basic chemical substances, such as ammonia, nitric acid, ethylene oxide, etc. The spent catalysts work with support materials such as alumina (-silicate), silica-alumina, zeolite, activated carbon, etc.
